Intercity relocation

Moving from Mumbai to another city

Moving to a new city is a big step: a new job, a new school, sometimes a new language. The last thing you need is to wonder whether your furniture will arrive, or when.

Leo Packers and Movers India runs door-to-door intercity moves from Mumbai to cities across India. We pack your home in Mumbai, load it into a closed vehicle, move it by road and deliver it to your new address. There we unload, place the furniture and reassemble what we took apart.

Long-distance moves need stronger packing than local ones. Your goods may be on the road for several days, through heat, rain and highway vibration. We use thicker cartons, extra layers of bubble wrap and corrugated sheet, and tighter tie-downs inside the vehicle, so everything arrives the way it left.

You get one coordinator for the whole move. They confirm the loading date, keep you updated while your goods are in transit, and arrange the delivery slot at your new home.

Your options

Dedicated truck or part load?

There are two ways to move your goods to another city. We help you choose the one that suits your budget and timeline.

Fastest

Dedicated vehicle

The truck carries only your goods and goes straight from your old home to your new one. Best for full homes, tight dates and fragile items.

Budget

Part load (shared vehicle)

Your goods share space with another customer's on the same route. It costs less, but delivery can take a few days longer.

Flexible

Move plus storage

If your new home isn't ready, we can store your goods in Mumbai and deliver them when you're ready to move in.

How it works

Your intercity move, step by step

The process we follow for every move out of Mumbai.

  1. Survey & quote

We list your goods, check access at both addresses and send a written quote with the loading date and expected delivery.

  2. Long-haul packing

Heavier packing for the road: double-wrapped furniture, thicker cartons and crates for very delicate items.

  3. Loading & transit

Goods are loaded in a planned order and tied down in a closed vehicle. Your coordinator keeps you updated on the way.

  4. Delivery & setup

We unload at your new home, place the furniture, reassemble the beds and wardrobes, and clear the waste.

City notes

Moving from Mumbai to these cities

Each destination has its own quirks. These are the details we plan for on our most common routes.

Pune

Mumbai to Pune

The shortest of our intercity routes. Most Pune moves are loaded in the morning and delivered the same evening or the next morning, via the expressway.

Bengaluru

Mumbai to Bengaluru

A popular route for IT transfers. Many Bengaluru apartment societies have strict move-in timings, so we confirm them before loading.

Hyderabad

Mumbai to Hyderabad

Hyderabad's large gated communities often need move-in approval from the association. Arrange it before your goods arrive.

Delhi NCR

Mumbai to Delhi NCR

The longest regular route. Packing is reinforced for the distance, and summer moves get extra attention for heat.

Ahmedabad

Mumbai to Ahmedabad

A quick highway route for families and businesses. Usually delivered in two to three days.

Goa

Mumbai to Goa

Popular for second homes and relocations. Monsoon moves get extra rain protection along the ghats.

Long-haul packing

Why intercity moves need stronger packing

On a local move your goods spend an hour or two in the truck. On an intercity move they may spend four or five days on highways, ghats and city roads. The packing has to survive all of it.

For long routes we use stronger cartons and add extra layers of bubble wrap on anything fragile. Polished furniture gets corrugated sheet over the foam. Glass tops and large mirrors can be crated on request. Mattresses are fully sealed, and cartons are taped on every seam, so humidity and dust can't get in.

Inside the vehicle, loads are braced and strapped section by section, so a sudden brake on the highway doesn't shift anything. That extra care on day one is why goods arrive in the same condition they left.

Relocating to Mumbai from another city

We also help families and companies moving into Mumbai. If you're joining a job in Andheri, Powai or BKC, or moving closer to family, tell us where you're coming from and where you're going in the city.

We'll explain how your goods will reach Mumbai, plan the delivery around your new society's rules and lift timings, and set up your new home once everything arrives. If the flat isn't ready yet, we can hold your goods in storage until it is.

FAQ

Intercity relocation questions

How long does it take to move from Mumbai to Bengaluru?

Goods usually reach Bengaluru in 3 to 5 days after loading, depending on the vehicle type and road conditions. Your coordinator confirms the expected delivery date when you book.

What is the difference between a dedicated truck and part load?

A dedicated truck carries only your goods, straight to your new home, which is faster. Part load means your goods share a vehicle with another customer's going the same way, which costs less but can take a few extra days.

Will my goods be insured during transit?

Ask us about transit cover when you book. We'll explain the options and what they cost, so you can decide.

Can you move my car along with my household goods?

Yes. Your car can travel on a car carrier or in an enclosed container, and your bike can travel with your household goods. See our car and bike transport page.

What documents do I need for an intercity move?

Keep a copy of your ID and the addresses at both ends ready. We prepare the goods list for the move. For vehicles you'll also need the RC and insurance copies.
