Car and bike transport you can trust
Your car or bike is often the most valuable thing you own after your home. Driving it to another city yourself means fuel, tolls, days on the road and wear on the vehicle. Handing it to a mover only works if you can trust them with it.
Leo Packers and Movers India transports cars and two-wheelers within Mumbai and from Mumbai to cities across India. Cars travel on a car carrier or in an enclosed container. Bikes are wrapped layer by layer and loaded with your household goods or sent on their own.
Every vehicle gets a condition report at pickup. We note and photograph existing scratches and dents with you, and you get a copy. At delivery you check the vehicle against the same report before you sign.
If you're moving your home as well, we can plan the vehicle transport with your intercity relocation, so your car and your furniture arrive around the same time.

How your vehicle can travel
Choose the option that fits your vehicle, budget and timeline.
Open car carrier
The usual way to move a car between cities. Your car is strapped on a multi-car carrier deck. It's cost-effective and works for most cars.
Enclosed container
For premium cars, or when you want your car fully shielded from dust and rain. The car travels alone in a closed container.
With household goods
Your bike is wrapped and loaded in the same truck as your home. It's the most economical choice when you're moving house.
Separate bike transport
For a bike moving on its own. It's packed in foam and corrugated sheet and sent in a vehicle going your way.
Scooters and mopeds
Packed the same way as bikes, with the mirrors removed and extra padding on the plastic body panels.

How we pack a bike
A two-wheeler has a lot of parts that scratch or bend easily. This is how our crew prepares one for the road.
- Fuel drainedThe tank is emptied to the minimum needed for safe transport.
- Mirrors removedMirrors and loose accessories are removed, wrapped and packed separately.
- Foam on the bodyThe tank, headlamp, meters and body panels get foam and bubble wrap.
- Corrugated layerCorrugated sheet wraps the whole bike to protect it from scratches.
- Stretch filmA final layer of stretch film holds everything in place and keeps out dust.
- Tied uprightThe bike is loaded upright and tied to the vehicle so it can't tip over.

Car carrier or driving it yourself?
Driving your own car from Mumbai to Bengaluru or Delhi may look cheaper at first. Once you add fuel, tolls, a night or two in hotels, meals, days off work and wear on the tyres and engine, the gap usually closes, and you arrive tired.
A car carrier moves your car without adding kilometres to the odometer, without highway wear, and without you giving up two or three days. You can fly or take the train, settle into your new home, and receive the car a few days later.
For short distances like Mumbai to Pune, driving yourself may make more sense, and we'll tell you so honestly. For longer routes, or if you're moving a home at the same time, transport is usually the easier and safer choice.

Where we move cars and bikes most often
Vehicle transport on our most common routes from Mumbai.
Mumbai to Pune
Short route, often combined with a household move on the same day or the next.
Mumbai to Bengaluru
One of the most common car transport routes, usually for job transfers.
Mumbai to Hyderabad
Cars and bikes for families relocating to Hyderabad's IT corridors.
Mumbai to Delhi NCR
A long route where a carrier saves days of driving and highway wear.
Mumbai to Goa
Bikes and cars for second homes, holidays and relocations.
Mumbai to Ahmedabad
A quick highway route for both cars and two-wheelers.
Why the condition report matters
The condition report is your protection. Before your vehicle is loaded, our team walks around it with you, notes every existing scratch, dent and chip, records the odometer reading and takes photographs. You check the report and keep a copy.
At delivery you do the same walk-around against the same report before you sign. If anything is different, it's clear straight away, and there's no argument about whether a mark was already there.
It takes ten minutes at each end, and it's the simplest way to make sure everyone is clear about the state of your vehicle.
Documents and paperwork for vehicle transport
Vehicle transport needs a little paperwork, and having it ready avoids delays at pickup.
Keep a photocopy or clear print of the registration certificate (RC), the current insurance policy and your ID proof ready to hand over with the vehicle. The originals stay with you. If the vehicle is on a loan, keep a copy of the lender's details as well, in case anyone asks on the way.
Once your vehicle reaches the new city, check with the local transport office about any re-registration rules if you plan to keep it there for a long time. Rules vary from state to state, so it's worth confirming early. Our coordinator can't handle RTO work, but we're happy to point you in the right direction.
With the paperwork ready, the condition report done and the fuel low, pickup takes very little time, and your vehicle is on its way.
Car and bike transport questions
How is a car transported to another city?
Your car is driven or winched onto a car carrier and secured with wheel straps. For extra protection we can arrange an enclosed container. The car is inspected and photographed at pickup and checked again at delivery.
Can I keep things inside the car?
Please don't. Remove personal items, documents, music systems that come out and anything loose. Items left in the car aren't covered and can shift during transit.
How much fuel should be in the vehicle?
Keep a car's fuel tank about a quarter full or less. For bikes, the tank should be nearly empty, as fuel has to be minimal for safe transport.
What documents are needed for car or bike transport?
A copy of the RC, a valid insurance copy and your ID. Keep the originals with you and hand over copies with the vehicle.
Can my bike travel with my household goods?
Yes. A wrapped bike can travel in the same truck as your household goods on local and intercity moves, which is often the most economical option.
